THIM app (Thailand Immigration Management)

THIM stands for Thailand Immigration Management. It was developed with Digital Identity Co., Ltd. for the Immigration Bureau and runs on AWS infrastructure in the Asia Pacific (Bangkok) region so traveller data stays under Thai jurisdiction.

Immigration describes THIM as a mobile-first platform for immigration-related services before arrival and, over time, during a stay in Thailand — traveller profiles, Digital ID / KYC, notifications, and connections toward other government services.

The TDAC replaced the paper TM6 arrival card. Foreign travellers must complete the TDAC within 72 hours before arrival. THIM can support that digital flow — it does not cancel the TDAC requirement.

Official TDAC is free at tdac.immigration.go.th. Any site charging a TDAC fee is a scam.

Most fields can be prepared early, but the health declaration usually unlocks only inside the 72-hour window before arrival. Until that step is finished, your QR / submission is incomplete.

First setup often takes a few minutes; later trips with a saved profile can be much faster. Manual entry is available if you prefer not to use the camera.

• Names must match the passport exactly, including middle names.
• Long-stay travellers without a fixed exit date should use the “cannot provide departure date” option instead of guessing.
• Health questions about countries visited mainly screen yellow-fever risk.
• Accommodation district fields confuse many people — prioritise correct passport names first.

What is the THIM app?

THIM (Thailand Immigration Management) is the official mobile app of the Thai Immigration Bureau for foreign nationals. It supports digital arrival registration and is designed to expand into more immigration services over time.

Does THIM replace the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?

No. THIM works alongside TDAC. The TDAC arrival requirement remains. Use the official TDAC portal or complete arrival details through THIM according to current Immigration rules.

Is THIM mandatory now?

THIM has been in a voluntary pilot. Public communications describe a stronger mandatory role for arrival-card submission from August 2026. Always confirm the latest Immigration notice for your travel date.

Where do I download THIM safely?

Only from the official Google Play listing (th.go.immigration.thim) or the App Store listing published under Royal Thai Police / Immigration. Avoid lookalike apps.

Is the TDAC free?

Yes. The official TDAC at tdac.immigration.go.th is free. Sites that charge a “TDAC fee” are scams.

• Complete TDAC within 72 hours via tdac.immigration.go.th or via official THIM guidance for your date.
• Finish the health declaration inside the 72-hour window.
• Save a QR screenshot as backup.
• Download THIM only from official stores under Royal Thai Police / Immigration.
• Never pay a third party for “TDAC processing”.
